His Majesty launches new promotional identity for Oman
Under the patronage of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the unified promotional identity for the Sultanate of Oman was officially launched at Al Barakah Palace.
His Majesty reviewed the steps undertaken during the various phases of the promotional identity project. This included the process of engaging diverse segments of society and relevant stakeholders from both the public and private sectors in its development.
The project aims to reinforce positive perceptions of Oman locally, regionally and globally by unifying communication messages, increasing digital content about the Sultanate, and by promoting it using the best global tools. It also ensures alignment and consistency among all government and private entities involved in promoting Oman as a destination for investment, tourism, and as a place to live.
His Majesty endorsed the results of the public vote on visual logos, where the “Partnership” logo received the highest percentage of votes from Omanis and residents. He emphasised that this logo is part of a robust strategy designed to lead Oman’s integrated promotional system. With its promotional character, the logo embodies the aspirations for the future and modernity while deeply rooted in values of connectivity and integration with the world. It also reflects Oman’s rich heritage and civilisational assets, which support its communication messages.
The selection of the ‘Partnership' logo aligns with Oman’s strategic approach to its international relations, an approach based on partnership and trust when establishing economic and strategic collaboration with friendly and brotherly nations. It also highlights Oman’s role as a connecting point between East and West.
His Majesty praised the efforts of all government units and private institutions in supporting the public vote to choose the new logo. He commended the participation of various segments of society, both Omanis and residents.
His Majesty also appreciated the role of the Financial and Economic Committee of the Council of Ministers overseeing the project, as well as the technical and administrative teams of the National Programme for Enhancing Economic Diversification (Nazdaher).
His Majesty directed government units to adopt the project’s outcomes according to their specialisations, to ensure the success of the identity’s implementation strategy. This will unify promotional efforts and communication messages for state institutions promoting Oman.
The launch was attended by Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi, Minister of Finance and Chairman of the Financial and Economic Committee of the Council of Ministers; Dr Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Chairman of the Special Office; Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion and General Supervisor of the National Programme for Enhancing Economic Diversification (Nazdaher); Hussein bin Ali Abdul Latif, Adviser at the Special Office; and Sayyid Dr Sultan bin Yarub Al Busaidi, Adviser at the Special Office.
