The Embassies of the Sultanate of Oman in Italy and the Netherlands hosted celebrations marking the 54th Glorious National Day, attended by high profile diplomatic, official and cultural figures, to highlight Oman's achievements and future vision.

In Rome, the Omani Embassy organised a distinguished celebration attended by His Highness Sayyid Nazar Al Julanda Majid Alsaid, Oman's Ambassador to Italy.

In his speech, His Highness highlighted Oman's regional and international stature, achieved through its policy of tolerance, dialogue and fostering cooperation to promote peace and stability. He also reviewed the ambitious achievements of Oman’s Renaissance under Vision 2040. The event witnessed wide participation from Italian politicians and parliamentarians, Ambassadors of friendly and brotherly countries, as well as members of the diplomatic and military corps, alongside prominent cultural and academic personalities.

In The Hague, the Omani Embassy held its celebration in the presence of Sheikh Dr Abdullah bin Salem bin Hamad Alharthy, Oman's Ambassador to the Netherlands.

The Ambassador’s speech focused on the key principles of Oman’s foreign policy, noting the rapidly growing bilateral relations between Oman and the Netherlands in economic, cultural and other fields. The event featured Omani national musical performances reflecting the country's cultural heritage. Attendees included Barbara Joziasse, President of the Netherlands Court of Audit, senior officials from the Dutch Foreign Ministry, representatives of the Royal Palace, the President of the Port of Rotterdam, the Director of the Port of Amsterdam and other prominent figures.
