Egypt: Embassy celebrates National Day
The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Cairo celebrated the 53rd National Day at a reception hosted by Abdullah bin Nasser bin Musallam Alrahbi, the Sultanate’s Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt and its permanent representative to the League of Arab States.
In a speech to the ceremony, Ambassador Alrahbi said that Oman is witnessing great progress in its renewed renaissance under the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.
The Ambassador stressed His Majesty's tireless endeavour to enhance the Sultanate's modern, cultural and economic status and to make the Omani government a real partner in its comprehensive development.
The Ambassador added that relations between Egypt and Oman are becoming stronger and stronger year after year. He praised the care and facilities provided by the Egyptian state and government, to students and to Omani business executives.
He noted that wisdom and balance in various issues have always been the mark of relations between Oman and Egypt, most notably on the Palestinian issue.
The Ambassador spoke of the historic visit made by His Majesty to Egypt in May, which established a new phase of bilateral cooperation in the fields of the economy, education, the judiciary and others, in accordance with Oman Vision 2040.
The celebration was attended by a number of Egyptian ministers and public figures from all political, economic and cultural fields, as well as a number of diplomats and media figures.
