Political Undersecretary meets President of the International Zheng He Society

Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs, met with Dr Zhang Lu, President of the International Zheng He Society and her delegation, at the Ministry.

They discussed the historical significance of the Chinese navigator, Zheng He’s visit to Oman 600 years ago, highlighting the importance of building on these historic ties to strengthen the enduring friendship between Oman, Singapore (where the society is based), and China (Zheng He's homeland).

They also affirmed their wish to enhance relations across various fields in a way that serves mutual interests.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Saif Alhusseini, Head of the Asia and Pacific Department at the Foreign Ministry.
