Preparatory meeting for Oman Morocco Joint Committee session
The preparatory meeting of senior officials for the seventh session of the Oman Morocco Joint Committee was held via video conference.
The Omani delegation was headed by Ambassador Sheikh Faisal Almarhoon, Head of the Arab Department at the Foreign Ministry, with the participation of Khalid Bamakhalif, the Sultanate of Oman's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco.
The Moroccan delegation was headed by Ambassador Fouad Yazough, Director General of International Political Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates. The meeting was also attended by Tarik Al Husaissen, Morocco's Ambassador to Oman, along with committee members from both Oman and Morocco representing various sectors.
The meeting discussed cooperation between the two brotherly countries as listed on the agenda of the Joint Committee, as well as draft memoranda of understanding and executive programmes for cooperation across various sectors.
These will be submitted to the ministerial meeting of the Oman Moroccan Joint Committee at its next meeting, scheduled to be held in Muscat on April 13.
