Minister meets with Foreign Minister of Yemen

Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi received at the Ministry in Muscat, Dr Shaya Mohsin Zindani, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Republic of Yemen.

The meeting reaffirmed the deep fraternal ties between Oman and Yemen and a mutual commitment to strengthening cooperation to serve the common interests of their peoples.

The two Ministers also exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual concern, with a particular focus on developments in the Yemeni crisis and the ongoing efforts to achieve peace and stability in Yemen.

Sayyid Badr stressed the Sultanate's unwavering support for efforts to find peace in Yemen, emphasising the importance of dialogue and negotiation as the way to achieve sustainable solutions and alleviate the humanitarian suffering of the Yemeni people.

Dr Zindani expressed his appreciation for Oman’s efforts in supporting Yemen’s stability and its consistent support for the Yemeni people. He praised Oman’s positive role in facilitating dialogue among Yemeni parties and backing international and regional efforts to achieve peace.

The meeting was attended by officials from both Oman and Yemen.
