Chinese President receives Sayyid Fahd
President Xi Jinping of the People's Republic of China received today His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Cabinet Affairs, on the sidelines of the Gulf-Chinese Summit for Cooperation and Development, which was held in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
During the interview, His Highness Sayyid Fahd conveyed the greetings of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and his good wishes to the President and the friendly Chinese people for continued progress and prosperity and for the relations between the two friendly countries to develop further.
For his part, the President of the People's Republic of China expressed his greetings and deep appreciation to His Majesty the Sultan, and his good wishes to His Majesty and the Omani people for further progress and development in the relations of the two countries
During the meeting, they reviewed the good relations between the two friendly countries and emphasised the keenness of both sides to strengthen and develop them in various fields, in a way that would bring mutual benefits in order to achieve the aspirations of their two friendly peoples.
The meeting was attended on the Omani side by Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Dr Abdullah bin Muhammad al-Saidi, Minister of Justice and Legal Affairs; Dr Said bin Muhammad al-Saqri, Minister of Economy; His Highness Sayyid Faisal bin Turki al-Said, Oman's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; Abdullah bin Khalfan Al Balushi, Head of the Private Office of His Highness the Deputy Prime Minister for Cabinet Affairs. A number of officials from the Chinese side also attended the meeting.
