China: Oman works to strengthen economic partnerships
A delegation from the General Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones, headed by the Vice Chairman, Engineer Ahmed bin Hassan Al Dheeb, met with a number of Chinese business leaders operating in the green, iron, technology and chemicals industries in Beijing.
The meeting was as part of a push to attract and localise quality investments.
The meetings, attended by Oman's Ambassador to China, Nasser Mohammed Albusaidi, discussed infrastructure and investment opportunities in the special economic zones, free zones and industrial cities in Oman.
The Authority’s delegation also took part in the Omani-Chinese Investment Forum and visited a number of Chinese factories to learn about the experiences of companies in selected sectors.
This visit falls under the umbrella of the Authority’s plan to strengthen strategic partnerships, attract foreign investments, enhance economic cooperation and exchange experiences, knowledge and technology.
The Authority’s delegation included officials from the Special Economic Zone at Duqm, the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates “Madayn” and the Invest in Oman Hall.
