Preparatory meeting for Omani-Tunisian Joint Committee

A preparatory meeting for the Omani-Tunisian Joint Committee was held at the Diplomatic Club in Muscat.

The Omani representation was lead by Ambassador Sheikh Faisal bin Omar Al Marhoon, Head of the Foreign Ministry's Arab Department, with Dr Hilal bin Abdullah Alsanani, the Sultanate of Oman’s Ambassador to the Republic of Tunisia also present.

The Tunisian representation was headed by Samir Al Mansar, Director General of Bilateral Relations with Arab Countries at the Tunisian Foreign Ministry, with Azzedine el Tayse, Tunisia's Ambassador to Oman also present.

Members of the committee from various sectors in Oman and Tunisia also took part.

The start of the preparatory meeting for the work of the sixteenth session of the Omani-Tunisian Joint Committee

The meeting discussed areas of cooperation between Oman and Tunisia that are on the agenda of the joint committee. The session reviewed draft agreements, memoranda of understanding and executive programmes in various sectors in preparation for their submission to the ministerial meeting of the 16th Joint Omani-Tunisian committee, due to be held in Muscat on Wednesday January 31st.
