SHAIFUL ANUAR MOHAMMAD, arrived as Ambassador Extraordinary
and Plenipotentiary of Malaysia to the Sultanate of Oman on 14 August
2021. Prior to his appointment, he headed the Human Resource
Management Division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia.

At the Ministry, he had held positions at a number of divisions, namely:
Multilateral Security, Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), D-8,
South-South Cooperation and Specialised Agencies, as well as ASEAN.
Shaiful had previously been posted to Malaysian diplomatic missions in
Brussels, Belgium from 2001 to 2005; Cairo, Egypt (2009-2013) and
Washington, D.C., U.S.A. (2015-2017).

Shaiful graduated from Syracuse University, Syracuse, New York, U.S.A.
He was trained at the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN),
Malaysia and the Institute of Diplomacy and Foreign Relations (IDFR),
Malaysia. He had also attended a number of courses locally and abroad.
He and his wife, Nornie Rosli, have two sons and two daughters.
