Worked in the office of Foreign Minister Dr. Alois Mock, at the Austrian Embassies in Paris and London and at the Austrian Permanent Representation to the EU.

Head of Unit for European Cooperation in the field of Justice and Home Affairs from 2001 to 2004 and Deputy Head of the Permanent Mission of Austria to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) until 2008.

Consul General of the Republic of Austria in Krakow and Southern Poland from 2008 to 2012.

Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam from 2013 to 2017.

Subsequently assigned to the Department in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Humanitarian Aid, Migration and Development, Head of Unit for China and Deputy Head of the Inspectorate General.

Since August 2023 Austrian Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Yemen.
