Oman and Thailand celebrate 40 years of diplomatic relations
On the occasion of the 40th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Thailand, His Excellency Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Albusaidi the Foreign Minister, and His Excellency Don Pramudwinai Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand exchanged letters of congratulations, reaffirming their commitment to continue deepening and developing bilateral cooperation for greater mutual benefits and to serve their common interests.
The exchange of visits and consultations that have taken place at various levels have contributed greatly to the development and enhancement of friendly relations between the people and governments of both countries, and played a big role in widening the horizon for new opportunities and cooperation.
Since the establishment of the diplomatic relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Thailand in 1980, both countries have laid the foundation for fruitful political, diplomatic, economic and cultural cooperation. This has been positive and based on mutual respect. It has included many fields such as energy security, healthcare, tourism and food security.
His Excellency the Foreign Minister of the Sultanate of Oman reaffirmed that the Sultanate is always keen to maintain and nurture such relations, and great importance is attached to sustaining engagement and the development of common interests between Oman and all other nations.
