
His Majesty concludes his visit to Russia
His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik left Moscow this evening after a two-day state visit to the Russian Federation.
His Majesty was seen off at Vnukovo International Airport by Maxim Reshetnikov, Minister of Economic Development; various Russian officials and members of the Omani embassy in Moscow.
Upon his departure, His Majesty sent a cable of thanks to President Vladimir Putin of the Russian Federation, expressing his sincere appreciation for the warm welcome and hospitality.
His Majesty praised the outcomes of his meeting with the Russian President, as an opportunity to enhance areas of cooperation, promote relations and open new vistas for partnership and investment to serve Oman and Russia's mutual interests.
His Majesty wished President Putin success in furthering aspirations for progress and prosperity of the Russian people.
His Majesty was accompanied during the visit by a high-ranking official delegation comprising: His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of Diwan of Royal Court; Lieutenant General Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nomani, Minister of the Royal Office; Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, Foreign Minister; Dr Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office; Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, President of the Oman Investment Authority; Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion; Jamal bin Hassan Al Moosawi, Secretary General of the National Museum; and Hamood bin Salim bin Abdullah Altowaiya, Oman’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation.
