His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik departed the friendly Kingdom of the Netherlands, concluding a three day state visit.

Bidding farewell to Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam were Vice Admiral Ludger Brummelaar, representative of His Majesty the King of the Netherlands and Chief of the Royal Military Household, Renée Knaap, Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation, and a number of officials from the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

Upon his departure, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik sent a message of thanks and appreciation to King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands and Queen Máxima.

In the message, His Majesty expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation for the warm welcome and generous hospitality extended to him and his accompanying delegation during the visit.

His praised the meetings with His Majesty the King and the Prime Minister for strengthening relations and opening new horizons for partnership and cooperation across various fields.

His Majesty also wished the King and Queen continued success in achieving further progress and accomplishments that meet the aspirations of the friendly Dutch people.

Accompanying His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on his State Visit was a high-level official delegation that included His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, and Sayyid Khalid Albusaidi, Minister of Diwan of Royal Court.

The delegation also included Lieutenant General Sultan Alnomani, Minister of the Royal Office; Sayyid Badr Albusaidi Foreign Minsiter; Dr Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office; and Madiha Alshaibaniyah, Minister of Education.

The delegation also included Abdulsalam Almurshidi, President of the Oman Investment Authority; Engineer Salim Alaufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals; and Sheikh Abdullah Alharthy, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
