Oman and the Netherlands sign declaration of intent

The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Foreign Ministry of Foreign, and the Kingdom of the Netherlands signed a Declaration of Intent regarding a proposed agreement on work permits for spouses of accredited official staff in the receiving state.

The Declaration was signed on behalf of Oman by Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, and on behalf of the Netherlands by Caspar Veldkamp, Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The declaration reflects both countries’ intention to advance ongoing negotiations toward an agreement that would allow the spouses of official staff to work in the country where they are accredited. It stems from the strong and longstanding ties between the two countries and their shared desire to broaden and deepen bilateral cooperation in support of mutual interests.
