His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik left Oman today heading to the Kingdom of the Netherlands on a three day state visit.

The visit, made in response to an invitation by King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands, aims to enhance economic cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the fields of ports, logistics, maritime trade, chemical industries, renewable energy, agriculture and food security, in addition to cultural and academic collaboration.

His Majesty was seen off at the Royal Airport by His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers; His Highness Sayyid Asaad bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs and Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan; His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth; Sheikh Abdulmalik bin Abdullah Al Khalili, Chairman of the State Council, Khalid bin Hilal Al Maawali, Chairman of the Shura Council; Sayyid Hamood bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior; Nasr bin Hamood Al Kindi, Secretary General of the Royal Court Affairs; Sheikh Al Fadl bin Mohammed Al Harthy, Secretary General of the Council of Ministers; Lieutenant General Hassan bin Mohsin Al Shuraiqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs; Lieutenant General Said bin Ali Al Hilali, Head of the Internal Security Service; Dr Mohammed bin Said Al Maamari, Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs; Dr Hilal bin Ali Al Sabti, Minister of Health; Major General Mattar bin Salim Al Balushi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman; Air Vice Marshal Khamis bin Hammad Al Ghafri, Commander of the Royal Air Force of Oman and Major General Musallam bin Mohammed Jaaboub, Commander of the Sultan’s Special Force.

His Majesty the Sultan is accompanied during the visit by a high ranking official delegation comprising His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court; General Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nomani, Minister of the Royal Office; Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister; Dr Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office; Dr Madeeha bint Ahmed Al Shibaniyah, Minister of Education; Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, President of Oman Investment Authority, Engineer Salim bin Nasser Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals and Sheikh Dr Abdullah bin Salem Al Harthy, Ambassador of Oman to the Netherlands.
