Oman and Qatar discuss investment development
Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion of Oman, Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, met in Muscat with Sheikh Faisal bin Thani Al Thani, Minister of Commerce and Industry of Qatar, to explore ways to enhance joint cooperation in the economic, commercial and investment sectors.
The discussion focused on boosting mutual investments, particularly by reviewing the recommendations of the Qatar Oman Investment Forum held in Qatar, and by following up on the implementation of memoranda of understanding aimed at attracting Qatari investments across various sectors.
The Ministers also explored opportunities to increase trade, including organising joint trade exhibitions to promote the national products of both nations and improving maritime transport links.
The meeting was attended by Sayyid Ammar bin Abdullah bin Sultan Albusaidi, Oman's Ambassador to Qatar, Dr Saleh bin Saeed Masan, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion for Trade and Industry; Ibtisam bint Ahmed Al Farooji, Undersecretary of the Ministry for Investment Promotion, and other officials from both countries.
