His Majesty and Emir of Qatar hold official talks
His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar held an official session of talks at Al Alam Palace.
His Majesty reiterated his welcome to Sheikh Tamim and his accompanying delegation wishing them both a pleasant stay in Oman.
Sheikh Tamim in turn expressed his utmost thanks and appreciation to His Majesty for the warm welcome and hospitality.
The session reviewed relations between the two countries characterised by cooperation, understanding and fraternity. The session also reviewed areas of partnership and investment, and the opportunities available to promote these to open wider horizons in order to boost the economy of both countries and so meet the aspirations of their peoples.
The two leaders also exchanged views on the current world situation and its repercussions on the region. They also discussed paths towards regional and international peace, security and stability.
