Ministry provides updates on case of an Omani citizen in India
The Foreign Ministry has been closely monitoring social media reports regarding the case of an Omani citizen in the Republic of India.
The case stems from a lawsuit filed against her by one of her relatives, which led to a travel ban being issued against her until the case is resolved, or an amicable settlement is reached between the parties.
The Ministry affirms that the case is receiving continuous attention and significant follow-up, both by the Ministry itself and through the Sultanate’s Embassy in New Delhi.
The Embassy has appointed a law firm to defend the citizen and is also making efforts to encourage the parties involved to resolve their family dispute amicably while respecting the applicable laws.
