Minister receives phone call from US Secretary of State
Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi received a phone call from US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who extended his sincere congratulations to the leadership and people of the Sultanate of Oman on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik assuming power.
During the call, they exchanged views on a range of regional and international issues of mutual interest, including efforts to enhance security and stability in the region and the importance of supporting dialogue and international cooperation to address shared challenges.
Sayyid Badr expressed Oman’s heartfelt condolences and solidarity with the government and people of the United States in facing the recent wildfires in California. He commended the significant efforts made by US authorities to contain the disaster and minimise its impact on residents and properties.
Sayyid Badr and Secretary Blinken reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the Omani US partnership and the historical bonds of friendship between the two countries. They also agreed to continue developing cooperation in all fields and enhancing coordination to promote peace, stability, and sustainable development at regional and international levels.
