France: Ambassador visits Normandy

Ahmed Alaraimi, Oman's Ambassador to France, visited the Port of Le Havre, a major European centre for maritime transport, trade and logistics services, during a visit to the French region of Normandy.

The Port Director gave a presentation on the port's activity and the volume of global exports and imports. The meeting discussed a project to open a direct shipping line between the port of Le Havre and the ports of Oman.

During his visit to Normandy  the Ambassador also met with Hervé Morin, President of the Normandy Regional Council, to discuss ways to develop bilateral relations between the region and the Sultanate.

The meeting was attended by the President of the regional Chamber of Commerce, a number of business leaders and university Presidents. They discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the economic and academic fields.
