Oman Angola joint meeting explores cooperation
A joint meeting was held in Muscat between Omani Ministers and Undersecretaries and their Angolan counterparts to explore bilateral cooperation and to develop relations in various areas of mutual interest.
The meeting took place as part of the official visit of President Joao Lourenco of the Republic of Angola to the Sultanate of Oman.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed areas of cooperation in different economic and trade spheres and discussed means of facilitating joint investments. They stressed the importance of boosting strategic partnerships to achieve joint interests and enhance integration.
José de Lima Massano, Angola's Minister of State for Economic Coordination said that the meeting aimed to promote relations in various fields, such as the financial sector, industry, fisheries, logistics and food security. He said that the two countries are keen to encourage businesspeople to seize the opportunities available in Oman and Angola.
Téte António, Angola's Minister of Foreign Affairs underlined his country’s keenness to promote cooperation and develop strategic relations in various fields, such as energy and minerals.
The meeting was attended by officials from both Oman and Angola.
