Minister receives President of Nauru

Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi received at the Foreign Ministry, David Ranibok Adeang, President of the Republic of Nauru, as part of the President's visit to Oman to participate in the Global Forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds.

The meeting discussed avenues of diplomatic and economic cooperation, reviewing opportunities to encourage trade and build bilateral and multilateral partnerships for mutual benefit, particularly in the sectors of tourism, mining, energy and fisheries.

The meeting also explored exchanging expertise in environmental conservation and ocean protection, in line with both countries' efforts to preserve natural resources and address climate change.

The meeting was attended by Delvin Thoma, Deputy Minister for Nauru Seabed Minerals Authority, along with various officials.
