Foreign Minister meets Venezuelan counterpart in New York

Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi held a meeting with Iván Gil Pinto, the Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

During the meeting, the two countries signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish political consultations aimed at enhancing cooperation and coordination on regional and international issues of mutual interest.

The Ministers also signed a mutual visa exemption agreement for holders of diplomatic, special and service passports.

The Ministers exchanged views on several topics and discussed opportunities to enhance economic and trade cooperation. They highlighted the importance of exploring new areas of partnership in promising sectors.

Additionally, the Ministers addressed several regional and international issues of common interest.
