Oman and Mauritania hold cooperation talks
Oman's Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, held a session of political discussions with Mohamed Salem Ould Marzouk, Foreign Minister of Mauritania, in the Mauritanian capital, Nouakchott.
They discussed cooperation between Oman and Mauritania and ways to strengthen relations in areas that bring benefits to both countries.
The Ministers discussed ways to enhance trade and investment partnerships in the private sector and in promising fields such as marine fishing, mining, energy, agriculture, logistical connectivity between ports and tourism.
They also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of common concern and affirmed their support for efforts to bring security, stability and peace throughout the region and the world.
The Foreign Ministers stressed the importance of continuing international efforts to stop the aggressive Israeli war on the Gaza Strip in Palestine.
They prioritised an agreement that guarantees a ceasefire, the arrival of humanitarian aid, the release of all detainees on both sides and the return of displaced Palestinians, stressing the importance of international law.
The Ministers called on the international community to hold an international peace conference to implement the two-state solution and end the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories.
