Foreign Minister in phone call with Iranian counterpart

Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyd Badr Al Busaidi and Dr Hossein Amir Abdollahian, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, discussed in a phone call today the developments taking place in the region.

The Ministers renewed their agreement on the need to address the causes of tension and conflict in the region through dialogue, diplomacy and political solutions. They also agreed to focus on continuing their efforts to secure an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and to reach a lasting, just and peaceful solution to the Palestinian issue in order to restore security, stability and comprehensive peace to the region.
