President of Somalia sends message to His Majesty

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik received a written message from Dr Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, President of the Federal Republic of Somalia.

The message related to bilateral relations between Oman and Somalia.

The message was handed over by the envoy of the Somali President, Ali Mohammed Omar, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, when he met with Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, Foreign Minister of the Sultanate of Oman.

During the meeting, the Ministers discussed cooperation between the two countries and ways to enhance and develop that cooperation. They also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador Sheikh Faisal bin Omar Al Marhoon, Head of the Foreign Ministry's Arab Department; Ambassador Raji Othman Omar, Director of the Arab Department at the Somali Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Osman Ahmed Mohammed, Chargé d’Affaires of the Somali Embassy in Muscat, and a number of officials from Oman's Foreign Ministry.
