Foreign Minister meets Dutch counterpart

Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi met with Hanke Bruins Slot, Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.

The Ministers discussed relations between Oman and the Netherlands and their keenness to continue developing them, exchanging experiences and investing in various sectors to achieve common gains.

The Ministers also discussed regional developments in both the Middle East and Europe and stressed their support for efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza to address the catastrophic humanitarian conditions and enforce international law.

They emphasised the need for purposeful and constructive dialogue to achieve security and peace and the establishment of an independent Palestine as the basis for a two state solution.

The meeting was attended by Maithaa Saif Majid Al Mahrouqi, Oman's Ambassador to Germany, and a number of officials from both Oman and the Netherlands.
