Foreign Minister meets CEO of BMW
Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi met with Oliver Zipse, CEO of the German automobile manufacturer BMW, on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.
During the meeting, they discussed opportunities for partnership and cooperation in the transport sector, the exchange of manufacturing and technological knowledge and ways to develop smart infrastructure.
The Foreign Minister expressed his appreciation for the strong, friendly relations between Oman and the Federal Republic of Germany and the importance of developing economic cooperation and knowledge exchange in various fields.
Mr Zipse said BMW wanted to expand its global presence and enhance cooperation with leading companies and governments in the automotive and logistics sectors. He said the company was ready to explore investment opportunities in Oman and to provide its expertise and advanced technologies in the field of luxury and sustainable cars.
This meeting comes in the context of Oman’s efforts to enhance economic cooperation with various countries to develop the industrial sector.
The meeting was attended by a number of officials from both sides.
