Oman rejects Israeli occupation forces’ intention to storm Rafah
The Foreign Ministry has warned of the escalating and serious repercussions of the continued aggression by Israeli occupation forces in their assault on the Gaza Strip and their current move towards invading and targeting the city of Rafah.
This city now shelters hundreds of thousands of unarmed Palestinian civilians displaced from the north of the Strip due to this brutal aggression, with nearly thirty thousand killed, in addition to tens of thousands of wounded and missing people. This act is a blatant breach of international law and humanitarian law.
The Foreign Ministry reiterates Oman's categorical rejection of this, and renews its appeal to the international community to take practical, tangible actions that enact the declarations, statements, and political stances it has issued. This is to deter Israel from its arrogance and to push it to agree a ceasefire, open crossings for the entry of humanitarian relief for the population and displaced people throughout the Gaza Strip, and hold it fully responsible for the catastrophic effects resulting from its targeting of civilians, properties and facilities in the Gaza Strip.
