Brunei: Embassy holds National Day reception

The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Brunei Darussalam held a reception on the 53rd National Day in the capital, Bandar Seri Begawan.

Erma Said Mohamed Alkathiry, Oman's Ambassador to Brunei delivered a speech in which she talked about the renaissance of the Sultanate, praising the progress in relations between Oman and Brunei.

The Government of the Sultanate of Brunei Darussalam was represented by His Excellency Dato' Seri Setia Al Haj Muhammad Juwanda bin Haj Abdul Rashid, Minister of Development.

During the ceremony, documentary films were shown about the history and heritage of the Sultanate of Oman and the comprehensive economic renaissance it is witnessing in various fields.

On the sidelines of the reception ceremony, the Embassy also held a cultural exhibition of heritage items and pictures of the most important heritage, cultural and tourist sites in the Sultanate of Oman.

The ceremony was attended by officials from the Prime Minister's Office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Development, and from other ministries and government institutions. Also attending were members of the diplomatic corps accredited to the Sultanate of Brunei Darussalam, university presidents, a group of senior university and higher education professors, as well military personnel, doctors, businessmen and businesswomen, Omani citizens, media figures and journalists.
