His Majesty receives phone call from US President

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik received a phone call this evening from Joe Biden, President of the United States of America.

The call reviewed cooperation between the two countries. There was also an exchange of views on a number of regional and international issues of common concern, the most important being developments taking place in the Palestinian arena.

His Majesty, stressed the importance of stopping military operations in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank and protecting civilians and giving humanitarian concerns the highest priority.

He also spoke of the importance of respecting legitimate international resolutions and international humanitarian law and of upholding the right of the Palestinian people to establish an independent state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
