Oman welcomes renewed diplomatic ties between Bahrain and Qatar

The Sultanate of Oman has welcomed an agreement between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Qatar to restore diplomatic relations.

The agreement was reached during a meeting of the Bahrain-Qatari Follow-up Committee, held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the GCC (Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf) in the Saudi capital Riyadh.

An Omani Foreign Ministry statement expressed the hope that this step will strengthen cooperation between the two countries and joint Gulf action for the benefit of all.
