Foreign Minister meets Japanese Foreign Minister

Oman's Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, held a meeting with Yoshimasa Hayashi, Foreign Minister of Japan.

The two sides exchanged congratulations on the 50th anniversary of  diplomatic relations between the two countries. (For more on Oman Japan bilateral relations click here.) They also reiterated their keenness to support and promote areas of bilateral cooperation to achieve mutual benefits, particularly in the fields of economic cooperation, trade and investment.

The two sides also exchanged viewpoints on regional and international issues of common concern.

The meeting came within the framework of Sayyid Badr’s participation in the G20 Foreign Minister's meeting in the Indian capital, New Delhi.

It was attended by Issa Saleh Al Shibani, Oman's Ambassador to India; Pankaj Khimji, Adviser for Foreign Trade and International Cooperation at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion  and Chief Coordinator for the participation of the Sultanate of Oman in the G20 meetings; Ambassador Khalid Almuslahi, Head of the Minister’s Office and officials from both sides
