I am pleased to welcome you to the official page of the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in the Republic of Senegal.
The Embassy works through the Omani Foreign Ministry to strengthen the bonds of cooperation and consolidate the existing friendship between the Sultanate and Senegal.
This page allows users to view information about the long-standing relationship between Oman and Senegal. It also provides ways to communicate with the Embassy and access the services it provides.

Bilateral relations
Oman and Senegal established diplomatic relations in November 1978.
Oman’s Embassy in Dakar was opened in 2008 and also covers the following countries:
- Gambia (Diplomatic relations established February 1980)
- Guinea (Diplomatic relations established February 1981)
- Guinea-Bissau (Diplomatic relations established August 1982)
- Cape Verde (Diplomatic relations established May 2006)
Consular services
The Embassy provides a range of consular services for both Omani citizens visiting Senegal or for Senegalese citizens residents wishing to visit the Sultanate for tourism or business purposes.
Key objectives
The objectives of the Sultanate of Oman mission in the Republic of Senegal include the following:
- Enhancing political and economic cooperation
- Boosting security and defence cooperation
- Facilitating trade and investment between the two countries
- Encouraging scientific and cultural exchange
