Oman and Tanzanian Foreign Ministers meet

Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, Foreign Minister of Oman received in Muscat today Dr Stergomena Lawrence Tax, Minister of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation of the United Republic of Tanzania.

The meeting was part of the Tanzanian Minister’s visit to Muscat to head her country’s side in the Oman-Tanzania Committee meeting.

The two sides reviewed areas of cooperation in economic and investment fields, especially in the sectors of logistics, ports and energy. They also discussed regional and international matters of mutual interest.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador Khalid Al Muslahi, Head of the Minister’s Office and Saud Hilal Al Shidhani, Oman's Ambassador Tanzania. It was attended from the Tanzanian side by Stephen Byabato, Deputy Minister for Energy; Fatma Rajab, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation; Mwana Kamis, Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Education, and Abdallah Abasi Kilima, Tanzania's Ambassador to Oman.
