Oman and China hold official talks session

An official session of talks was held at the Foreign Ministry in Muscat today between the Sultanate of Oman and the People's Republic of China.

During the session, the Omani side was headed by Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Diplomatic Affairs, while the Chinese side was headed by Zhai Jun, Special Envoy of the Chinese Government to the Middle East.

The two sides reviewed bilateral cooperation and ways of enhancing that cooperation. They also exchanged views on the Arab-Chinese summit, scheduled to be held next month in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). They also reviewed various regional and international issues of mutual interest.

The session was attended by officials from the Foreign Ministry; Li Lingbing, Chinese Ambassador to Oman and the delegation accompanying the guest.
