Oman continues its participation in Arab Summit
The Sultanate of Oman continued its participation in the 31st Ordinary Arab Summit in its second day.
Delegated by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, His Highness Sayyid Asaad bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs and Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan headed Oman’s delegation to the summit, held in Algiers.
In a speech to the summit, the Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah El Sisi, called for the adoption of a comprehensive approach to strengthen the capabilities of Arab countries to confront crises and so ensure the strength and unity of the Arab nation. President Sisi stressed that Arab security is an indivisible whole and the difficulties facing the Arab world are shared.
In a speech to the summit, the Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas expressed his aspiration to form an Arab legal committee to follow up on inhumane operations against the Palestinian people. He called for every effort to be made to support the Jerusalem conference to be held in Cairo.
In his speech to the summit, Sheikh Meshal Al Ahmad Al Sabah, Crown Prince of Kuwait, stressed that global challenges, including developments in Ukraine and their economic and humanitarian effects require Arab countries to advance the process of joint Arab action.
