Royal Decree makes transfers and appointments in Oman's diplomatic corps

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, today issued Royal Decree No. (62/ 2022) to make transfers and appointments in the diplomatic corps.

Article (1) transfers the following to the general diwan of the Foreign Ministry:

1.Yousuf Issa Ali Al Zadjali, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Russian Federation.

2.Sheikh Juma Hamdan Hassan Al Malik Al Shehi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.

3.Sheikh Ahmed Hashel Rashed Al Maskari, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Brunei Darussalam.

4.Kefaya Khamis Miyah Al Ra’eesiyah, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Kingdom of Spain.

5.Munther Mahfoudh Salim Al Manthari, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of the Philippines.

6.Dr Ahmed Salim Mohammed Baomar, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Italian Republic.

7.Sheikh Hamad Saif Abdulaziz Al Rawahi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of India.

8.Mubarek Salim Ali Al Zakwani, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of South Africa.

9.Eng. Imad Hamoud Salim Alabri, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Federative Republic of Brazil.

10.Saleh Mohammed Ahmed Alsaqri, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

11.Yusef Said Mohammed Al Amri, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Federal Republic of Germany.

Article (2) transfers Badr Mohammed Badr Al Mantheri, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Lebanese Republic, and appoints him as Oman’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. It also transfers HH Sayyid Nizar Al Julanda bin Majed Al Said, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of Indonesia, and appoints him as Oman’s Ambassador to the Italian Republic.

Article (3) appoints Maitha Saif Majid Al Mahrouqi as the Sultanate of Oman’s Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany; Talal Sulaiman Habib Al Rahbi as the Sultanate of Oman’s Ambassador to the Federative Republic of Brazil; Hilal Abdullah Ali Al Sinani as the Sultanate of Oman’s Ambassador to the Republic of Tunisia and Dr Ahmed Mohammed Said Al Sa’eedi, as the Sultanate of Oman’s Ambassador to the Lebanese Republic.

Article (4) grants the following the designation of “Ambassador” and appoints them as stated below:

1.Plenipotentiary Minister Abdulghafar Abdulkarim Issa Al Balushi as the Sultanate of Oman’s Ambassador to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.

2.Plenipotentiary Minister Saif Nasser Rashid Al Badaai as the Sultanate of Oman’s Ambassador to the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria.

3. Plenipotentiary Minister Ahmed Ali Said Al Rashidi as the Sultanate of Oman’s Ambassador to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.

4. Plenipotentiary Minister Mahmoud Hamad Nasser Al Hassani as the Sultanate of Oman’s Ambassador to the Swiss Confederation.

5. Advisor Mohammed Abdullah Awadh Al Nahdi as the Sultanate of Oman’s Ambassador to the Republic of Cyprus.

6. Advisor Hamoud Salim Abdullah Al Tuwayah as the Sultanate of Oman’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation.

7. Advisor Irma Said Mohammed Al Kathiri as the Sultanate of Oman’s Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam.

8. Advisor Rua Issa Ashraf Al Zadjali as the Sultanate of Oman’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium.

9. Advisor Sayyid Faisal Hareb Hamad Al Busaidi as the Sultanate of Oman’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

10. Advisor Omar Said Omar Al Kathiri as the Sultanate of Oman’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain.

Article (5) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from its date of issue.
