Launch of book on Oman Sri Lanka relations

Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Diplomatic Affairs, has sponsored the inauguration ceremony of a book on relations between Oman and Sri Lanka.

The book called “Sri Lanka-Oman Relations: The Past, Present and Future” was written by His Excellency Omar Lebbe Ameerajwad, Ambassador of the Republic of Sri Lanka to the Sultanate of Oman, on the occasion of the end of his tenure in Oman. The book also marks the fortieth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Oman and Sri Lanka.

The book tells the history of relations between the two friendly countries and relates the memorable experiences of the Ambassador during his time in Oman.

The ceremony was attended by a number of ambassadors of brotherly and friendly countries accredited to the Sultanate of Oman and a number of Foreign Ministry officials.
