This is designed to provide a way to communicate with the Embassy and to provide information about the Embassy and the services it offers to citizens and visitors.
It also provides information about the Embassy’s activities and events held to strengthen bilateral relations between Oman and Thailand.

Bilateral relations
After the exchange of official visits between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Thailand, the first honorary consulate was opened in 1980, followed by the inauguration of the Thai Embassy in Muscat on July 9, 1987, and the Omani Embassy in Bangkok on July 27, 1994.
The two countries enjoy good relations in many fields of common interest and cooperate on all regional and international issues.
Key objectives
The aims of Oman’s mission to Thailand include:
- Political and diplomatic cooperation
- Cooperation in tourism, education and culture
- Facilitating trade and investment between the two countries
Political and diplomatic cooperation
Oman and Thailand work together to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries. They also work on mutual support for their candidates in regional and international organisations.
Trade exchanges
The Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Thailand signed a Trade Agreement in 1998.
The Embassy is working to enhance trade between the two countries by promoting Oman Vision 2040 as well as the favourable tax regulations and foreign investment laws that make Oman an attractive business destination for Thai investors.

Cultural, educational and scientific exchanges
Oman works to strengthen cultural cooperation and mutually beneficial partnerships with Thailand.
The Embassy seeks to promote Omani culture and is always looking for opportunities for Omani students to study in Thai educational institutions, as well as chances to enhance mutual understanding between the two countries.
Some Thai students study Arabic and Islamic (Sharia) law in colleges in the Sultanate.
