Official talks between Foreign Ministries of Oman and Japan
A session of official talks was held today in Muscat between the Foreign Ministries of the Sultanate of Oman and Japan.
The Omani side was chaired by Mohammed Alwahaibi, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Administrative and Financial Affairs. The Japanese side was led by Taro Honda, Parliamentary Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The session discussed aspects of bilateral cooperation between the two friendly countries and ways of enhancing them. Views were also exchanged on a number of regional and international issues of common interest.
The two sides stressed the strength of the political and economic relations between the two countries, expressing their common interest in raising levels of cooperation and partnership to new levels in various economic and investment fields.
The session was attended by Jota Yamamoto, Japan's ambassador to Oman and a number of officials from the foreign ministries of the two countries.
