Oman’s Foreign Minister receives Austrian Minister for Digital and Economic Affairs

Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, received in Muscat today, Dr Margaret Schrambock, Austrian Federal Minister for Digital and Economic Affairs.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed ways of strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation in the economic and digital fields. They also  discussed ways of exchanging expertise in the fields of science and technology as well as training and the development of technical skills.

As part of the meeting, there was a presentation on the role of the Foreign Ministry in the field of knowledge and technology and the best ways to employ it through cooperation with the Sultanate's partners abroad.

The meeting was attended on the Omani side by Mr Imad bin Taleb Al-Ajmi, Director General of Foreign Economic Relations at the Ministry of Economy and Counselor Mr Faisal bin Hareb Al Busaidi, who is in charge of managing the work of the Head of the Western Europe Department of the Foreign Ministry.

From the Austrian side the meeting was attended by Michael Esterl, Secretary-General of the Federal Ministry of Digital and Economic Affairs, and Christian Bronmeier, the Austrian Ambassador to Oman.

A number of senior officials from both sides also attended.
