His Majesty the Sultan heads to Qatar for State Visit
His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik will go on a state visit on Monday to the sisterly State of Qatar.
A statement issued today by the Diwan of the Royal Court, reads as follows:
“In affirmation of the distinguished relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the State of Qatar and, based on the keenness of the two countries’ leaderships to enhance joint ties at all levels, His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik will go on a state visit to Qatar with effect from Monday, 22 November 2021, in response to an invitation from Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar.
During His Majesty’s visit, discussions will cover all aspects of cooperation between the two countries with a view to upgrading bilateral relations, realising the aspirations of the two sides and achieving the objectives set in all fields. The discussions also aim to achieve results that serve common interests and to establish a more prosperous future for the two countries and their brotherly peoples.
During the visit, His Majesty the Sultan will be accompanied by an official high-level delegation comprising HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court; Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu'amani, Minister of the Royal Office; Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister; Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi, Minister of Finance; Abdulsalam bin Mohammed al-Murshidi, Chairman of the Oman Investment Authority; Dr. Mahad bin Said Ba’Owain, Minister of Labour and Najeeb bin Yahya Al Balushi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Qatar.
May the Almighty Allah protect His Majesty the Sultan wherever he might be and grant him continued good health and wellbeing.”
