His Majesty receives message from Chairman of Sudan Transitional Council
His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has been sent a written message by General Abdel Fattah al Burhan, Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council of the Republic of Sudan. The message concerns the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries.
Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi received the message during his meeting with Hussein Awad, envoy of the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council of Sudan and Acting Foreign Minister of the Republic of Sudan.
During the meeting, they discussed cooperation and relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them to serve the common interests of the two brotherly peoples. The discussion covered developments in Sudan, highlighting the importance of efforts to prioritise dialogue and wisdom to uphold the supreme interests of the Sudanese people and their aspirations for security, stability and development respecting the unity and sovereignty of their territory.
The meeting was attended by Ambassador Sheikh Faisal bin Omar Al Marhoon, Head of the Foreign Ministry's Arab Department; Salaheldin Elhag M. Elkando, Sudan's Ambassador to Oman; the Sudanese delegation accompanying the Acting Foreign Minister and officials from the Foreign Ministry.
