Oman condemns Israeli aggression against Gaza Strip and West Bank
Oman's Foreign Ministry expressed the Sultanates's condemnation of the aggression launched by Israeli occupation forces against the Gaza Strip and its storming of the Palestinian city of Nablus in the West Bank.
A Foreign Ministry statement expressed Oman's deep condemnation, describing it as an unjustified escalation and a clear violation of international law and Security Council resolutions.
In the statement, Oman appealed to the international community to take measures against Israel to stop its continued aggression against the Palestinian people. It affirmed legitimate international resolutions and the Oman's clear position on the Palestinian cause. It callied for Israel to withdraw from the occupied Palestinian territories to 1967 borders and for the Palestinian people to be enabled to establish an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital, according to the principle of the two-state solution and the Arab peace initiative.
