Foreign Minister holds cooperation talks with Algerian counterpart

Oman's Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, held a consultative meeting with Algeria's Foreign Minister, Ahmed Attaf, as part of the eighth session of the Omani-Algerian Joint Committee in Algiers.

The Ministers discussed a number of issues including enhancing cooperation in the political, economic and cultural fields. They also discussed ways to activate the mechanisms of the Omani-Algerian Joint Committee to keep pace with regional and international developments.

The Ministers stressed the depth of the historical and fraternal relations between Oman and Algeria and their keenness to continue developing them in various fields to serve their common interests.

Views were also exchanged on a number of regional and international issues with the aim of coordinating efforts to enhance security and stability in the region.

The Ministers expressed their satisfaction with the existing level of cooperation and stressed the need to continue working to develop them further.
