Spain: Oman launches tourism campaign

Oman and Spain held a major business meeting in Madrid to promote the Sultanate as a highly appealing, uniquely accessible tourist destination.

The meeting was attended by Dr Azan Al Busaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, and Omar Said Omar Alkathiri, Oman’s Ambassador to Spain and Permanent Representative to the World Tourism Organisation.

Spain’s Secretary of State for Tourism, Rosario Sánchez Grau, participated along with several officials from Spain’s Ministry of Tourism.

This event forms part of the broader campaign led by Oman’s Tourism Ministry to highlight the Sultanate as an attractive tourist destination.

Ambassador Al Kathiri said, “Spain is a model in the tourism sector and we look forward to drawing on its expertise to showcase Oman’s beauty, authenticity and uniqueness to the world.”

Spain's Tourism Secretary expressed her hope to “strengthen relations between Spain and the Sultanate of Oman through the exchange of experiences and best practices, striving for a more resilient, sustainable, and responsible tourism sector”.
