Foreign Minister meets Austrian and Czech counterparts
Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister today met with Alexander Schallenberg, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Austria, on the sidelines of the 27th Joint GCC-EU Ministerial Council in Muscat.
The Ministers explored opportunities for trade, cultural and investment cooperation between the two countries. They also discussed a range of regional and international issues.
The Austrian Minister valued the Sultanate of Oman’s role in releasing two citizens of his country.
Sayyid Badr also met with Jan Lipavský, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.
The two sides discussed bilateral relations and means of promoting them in various fields in a manner that serves the joint interests of both countries.
The two sides also exchanged viewpoints on current regional and international issues of common concern.
The meetings were attended by Munthir Mahfoudh Almantheri, Head of the Foreign Ministry's Europe Department and officials from Oman, Austria and the Czech Republic.
