Oman participates in first ministerial meeting of strategic dialogue between GCC and Central Asia

Oman’s Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, today led the Sultanate’s delegation at the first ministerial meeting of the strategic dialogue between the GCC states and Central Asian countries.

The meeting, held at the Secretariat General of the Gulf Cooperation Council in Riyadh, stressed the importance of enhancing the mechanism for joint action based on shared values, joint interests and existing cooperation in various areas.

During the meeting the GCC foreign ministers and the GCC Secretary General engaged with the foreign ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Republic of Turkmenistan, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The second joint meeting of the strategic dialogue between the GCC and Central Asian countries will be held in the Uzbek capital Tashkent next year.
